How to Access Test Server & How to Provide Feedback / Test
Test server exists for updates to be reviewed before going to live. This is the first step to finding bugs, tuning stats / damage / drops etc. so that it won't break live server on update.
Even though live server is backed up constantly, it is really important to test the content as much as possible, as we're going off many different sources of information, to try and bring this server through the Lineage timeline.
From time to time, the GMs will publish content to the test server and will notify in Discord, and I will try and make a post here on the forums, to showcase the content and explain what information is being sought.
Everything is 'learn as you go', so this post and other requests about testing content may change. For now however:
How to access Test Server:1. Open Lineage via the jLauncher and select Justice Test (thank you for the clarification, mothallion)
2. Test Server will automatically create a new account for you when you log in. Log in using any user name and password and that will be your account. Be sure to write it down !Test Commands:
The following commands work on Test Server.
.level # (Where # is the level you want to be. Ex: .level 75 will make your character level 75)
.create item name / item number quantity (to create an item)
.createpet menu 1 (to show the list of pets)How to Provide Feedback / Test
All information is useful, however, the better the presentation, the more useful the information is. People don't like reading my content because my walls of text are TL;DR. We don't like reading people's comments of "It sucks" only because that doesn't provide any feedback that we can use, it's strictly a guessing game at that point, and ain't nobody got time fo that!
That being said, the following content as a template, will increase the quality of the information provided, so that as the GMs continue their own testing, they'll have a better sense of both communities. Remember, the GMs don't play the game with us, they rely on our information to help them steer the game down the path they want, but in a way that's accessable to us - as that's their goal !
Useful Information:
- What class are you?
- What level are you?
- What STR, DEX, INT, WIS, AC, MR?
- What weapon / spell are you using to hunt with?
- Were you solo or in a group?
- What was the group class composition, as above?
- How long did you hunt there? (Use CTRL + Q and click Reset. Use /time and take a screenshot. At the end of your hunt use /time again and take a screenshot, with the CTRL + Q window open. What was the difference from start to finish, how much adena did you make? How much experience did you make? What drops did you get?)
- Was the experience comparable to another zone? Which zone(s)? Better / Worse?
- Was the loot comparable to another zone? Which zone(s)? Better / Worse?
Questions:
1. Is the content too difficult? Should it be tuned up / down? What zone would you compare it to and why?
2. Is the content missing something? What is it? Where is your information from (memory, website, Asia live website)?
3. Would you participate in the content? If not, why?
4. Were there any bugs encountered? What were you doing when it happened? Can you replicate it (make it happen again)? Please provide point-form notes as to how it occurred.
5. Are there any spelling mistakes or errors in text? What is the NPC name? What is the /loc numbers (example 31245, 32156) beside the NPC)?
This is the kind of feedback and information that goes a long way. Please feel free to offer suggestions and I'll add to this.
Thank you for your assistance.
Grind on!

Re: How to Access Test Server & How to Provide Feedback / Test
"1. Open Lineage as you normally would and select Justice Test*"
*Unless the way you normally open Lineage is not via the Jutice custom updater.
The reason I mention this is because I played for months before I realized I was opening the wrong application. I was still able to play on Justice just fine, but the Test server always showed as down. I'm sure I'm the only stupid one, but just in case!
